Matsuo Style — A Private Lodging Facility in Naha
Matsuo Style is a whole-house private lodging facility set in a prime location, just three minutes from Naha’s Kokusai-dori street on foot, all while standing in a quiet residential area away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It boasts a courtyard enclosed by large walls and a private space with an open-style dining area.
We hope Matsuo Style will provide guests with a place to unwind and feel at peace — both body and soul — after a full day of enjoying the sights that Okinawa has to offer.
In addition to sightseeing, guests looking for a place to relax are very much welcome as well.

The Rooms
Living & Dining & Kitchen
With white as a base color, the living & dining room is put together with a chic brown sofa and dining table. The expansive space, which employs the entire first floor, lets you relax and soothe your soul. We have a sun-drenched private terrace enclosed by large walls, where guests can feel the Okinawan vibe even within the building.
Small children will also feel at home with ample space. We’ve even prepared some toys for them to play with.
The kitchen is also white-based and clean, with an IH cooking heater, which provides extra peace of mind.
Bedrooms
There are two bedrooms on the second floor. The smaller room has two semi-double beds, and the larger room has four semi-double beds, for a total of six available beds.
We have prepared a relaxed layout so you won’t feel any lack of space.
The warm lights add a mystical feel to the luxurious bedrooms.
Closet & Makeup Room
The makeup room is an expansive space with a large mirror spanning the entire room.
There’s enough space for four to use the room at once, but only two hair dryers, so please take turns doing your makeup and using the dryers.
We also have a closet large enough for all guests to store their belongings.
We also have a steam iron (usable as a small iron) and a sheet that can be used as an ironing board.

This store serving Hawaiian food is located in front of the Ichiba-hondori arcade across from the Potama Makishi Market Store.
Offerings include classy dishes like fruit-covered pancakes, French toast topped with handmade granola, and Eggs Benedict.
You can also purchase original products such as handmade granola and mugs.
There’s always a line in front of Potama, but this restaurant is no different, so we recommend you relax and enjoy your morning in Okinawa here while taking in the arcade’s exotic atmosphere.

A pork tamago onigiri (pork egg rice ball) specialty store located in front of the Shijo-hondori arcade.
It’s a famous chain with locations at Naha Airport, American Village, and, more recently, in Fukuoka and Hawaii.
The store is small and only has room enough for making rice balls, but you’ll always find a line in front of it.
There’s also an eating space, but you can call ahead and pick up your order later for a smoother experience.
Steakhouses
Okinawa is renowned for steak. Most beef served at steakhouses is from abroad but is affordable and delicious.
Okinawan steak has been around since old times and is still popular today.
■Steak House 88
Steak House 88 is a famed, old-established restaurant in Okinawa. The chain has several locations across Okinawa, including a few near Matsuo Style.
You can get there on foot and enjoy a walk along Kokusai-dori street on the way.

An entertaining steakhouse where you can enjoy the chefs’ bottle-spinning cooking performances.
This is the type of steak that used to be mainstream in Okinawa.
The Sam’s Group is also long-established and has several locations in Okinawa. Their curry-flavored soup and four types of dressing are delicious.

Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ)
Yakiniku restaurants offer Okinawan Wagyu Beef such as Ishigakigyu and Motobugyu. Many are high-end and can be quite expensive, but they are absolutely delectable.
All stores listed do not have parking spaces but are within walking distance, so we recommend you enjoy a leisurely stroll on your way there.

This restaurant has three locations: Onna Village (the main store), Chatan, and Naha Kokusai-dori. Here you’ll be able to taste authentic Okinawan Wagyu Beef. They offer Okinawan A5 Wagyu. You can receive a discount if you make a reservation via LINE.

■Yakiniku Motobu Bokujo
This restaurant chain owns a farm in Motobu. They slowly raise their cattle by giving them fermented feed using Orion Beer lees, depending on age and type.
The brand Wagyu — which has received the highest Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award — is mouthwatering and very popular.

How to get to various spots from Matsuo Style
■From Naha Airport to Matsuo Style
If you’re traveling by car, it’s straight from the Naha Umisora Tunnel. Access by Yui Rail and bus is easy as well.
By rental car: 13 minutes via Naha Umisora Tunnel. (4.7km)
By Yui Rail: Board from Naha Airport (Naha Kuko) station and alight at Prefectural Office (Kenchomae) station. 8-minute walk from Prefectural Office station. (650m)
By bus: Board bus 120 or 125 from Naha Airport Domestic Terminal (Naha Kuko Kokunaisen) bus stop and alight at Kencho Kitaguchi bus stop. 7-minute walk from Kencho Kitaguchi bus stop. (550m)
By taxi: Board from the Naha Airport taxi stand and tell the driver our address (1-12-24 Matsuo, Naha). 13 minutes. (4.7km)
■From Matsuo Style to Churaumi Aquarium
Address: 424 Ishikawa, Motobu
The whale sharks and manta rays are a sight to behold. You’ll see them swimming leisurely on the other side of a 60cm thick acrylic panel.
Sit in front of the tanks for a while and immerse yourself in the ocean atmosphere. They also have a dolphin show for you to enjoy at the Okichan Theater.
By rental car/taxi: Use the expressway from Naha IC to Kyoda IC (about an hour). Then it’s a 40-minute drive from Kyoda IC.
By bus: Board bus 117 from bus stop 11 at Naha Bus Terminal (Asahibashi bus stop) and alight at Kinen Koen Mae (Churaumi Aquarium) bus stop. About 2 hours.
■From Matsuo Style to Mihama American Village

A photogenic area with colorful American-style shops and buildings.
Being a convenient area for residents from English-speaking countries, you’ll see many locals jogging or taking a walk.
Sometimes there’ll even be lines for breakfast.
The area's mix of English and Japanese adds to the exotic feel.
You’ll find various types of food here that you can enjoy.
By rental car/taxi: Drive along National Route 58 from Matsuo Style, and it’ll be on your left. About 30 minutes (16km).
■Azama Sun Sun Beach
Address: 1141-3 Azama, Chinen, Nanjo, Okinawa
A beach that offers photogenic photo opportunities.
Many beaches on Okinawa are in Ginowan, Onna, and Kunigami on the western coast, but this one is on the eastern coast, south of Naha.
Still relatively unknown, it offers a stunning, vivid blue beach.
By rental car/taxi: The easiest way to get there is by using the car navigation. About 37 minutes (21km).
